eWallet stands for "electronic wallet". Think of it as a wallet on a cellphone. You can send money to someone who does not have a bank account, as long as they have a valid Zambian (Airtel or MTN) cellphone number. They'll get an SMS telling them you have sent them money, and they'll be able to withdraw that money from an FNB ATM using a PIN code. They can also check the balance, get a mini-statement, buy Prepaid Airtime or send money to someone else's cellphone from this eWallet.

Each card carries Chip & PIN technology, in other words, you don't need to sign every time you use the card, and it's harder for your card to be cloned - so it's much safer and secure.
The card is embedded with a chip that is linked to your secret PIN code. When you use it at a Point of Sale terminal or modified card reader, it accesses the chip on the card. Once the card has been verified as authentic, you enter your secret PIN - if it matches the PIN you chose when you first received the card, the chip tells the terminal the PIN is correct, and the transaction is processed. If this PIN is different to the one you entered when you were given the card by the bank, the chip rejects the transaction.
inContact is a FREE messaging service. It sends you an SMS or email every time a transaction (above K40.00) is processed on your account and allows you to monitor payments, transfers and withdrawals. You'll know if any unauthorised activity has taken place, and can also monitor account balances to make sure you have enough money to cover debit orders and scheduled payments.
Instead of paying fees for printed statements, FNB offers you the option of registering to receive electronic statements (we call them eStatements) to an email address of your choice. It's FREE, and it's also environmentally friendly.
